COALESCENCE IN NORFOLK
Our Norfolk location is tucked into the Railroad District, just outside downtown—a growing area full of creativity and energy. The space is a renovated 5,000-square-foot warehouse that had been sitting empty for decades (we’re still trying to remember exactly how long!). Coalescence took on the project and gave it new life while keeping its original charm.
Big historic windows bring in lots of natural light, and the mostly white space feels open and calm. There are two meeting rooms that are in constant use—local nonprofits, small businesses, and ministry groups often gather here to meet, plan, and connect.
Most days, you’ll find people spread out on laptops, talking through ideas over coffee, or reading quietly on one of the couches. It’s a casual, welcoming spot where folks come to work, think, and be part of something a little bigger.
NORFOLK COMMUNITY
Public Groups
Community Talks
Community Talks is a monthly event that brings local business owners, community leaders/organizers, or other uniquely talented individuals from the Hampton Roads area to Coalescence so they can share what they do. Each month’s topic will be unique and educational. Come learn about your community - from how to brew the best beer to how to get involved with local humanitarian aid efforts - we’re talking about it all!
Commoner’s Table
Commoner's table is a local writers group. We like to say that we are a common place for common people with common stories. All that is to mean, we want to be a place where people find commonality through sharing stories that remind us that we all have more in common than we may think. We meet once a month to share life stories through writing. Some come to improve in their writing skills, most come for the company. We'd love to have you join us.
Foster The Family
Foster the Family is a non-profit organization that seeks to support and encourage foster and adoptive families, mobilize and equip the community for foster care, and advocate for vulnerable children. The Norfolk Foster the Family Support Group meets monthly for guided, topically themed training and discussion. The group is open to any current or prospective foster, adoptive, and kinship moms in the Hampton Roads area.
COALESCENCE EXISTS FOR PEOPLE TO BE WELCOMED AND VALUED.
